Packing materials are not children's
toys. Children should not be allowed to
play with the plastic bags. There is a
risk of suffocation.
Keep the device out of the reach of chil-
dren.
DANGER to and from pets
and livestock!
Electrical devices can represent a dan-
ger to pets and livestock. In addition,
animals can also cause damage to the
device. For this reason you should keep
animals away from electrical devices at
all times.
Warning! Risk of injury!
Do not use the device if there is visible
damage.
Repairs to the device must only be per-
formed by authorised specialists or by
the customer service. Unprofessional re-
pairs can result in significant danger for
the user. Unauthorised repairs also in-
validate the warranty claim.

Never place hot containers onto the de-
vice!
Protect the device against moisture and
prevent the entry of liquids.
Do not place objects on the kitchen
scale when the device is not in use.
Protect the device against impacts, mois-
ture, dust, chemicals, large temperature
fluctuations, and proximity to heat sources
(ovens, radiators).
Never place loads greater than 5.1 kg
(183.4 oz / 11.46 lb) on the kitchen
scale.
Do not expose the device to high tem-
peratures or strong electromagnetic
fields (e.g. mobile telephones).
The device is fitted with non-slip silicon
feet. Because furniture can be coated
with a wide variety of varnishes and
plastics, and treated with various care
products, the possibility cannot be ex-
cluded that some of these substances
have components that may attack and
soften the silicon feet. If necessary,
place a non-slip mat under the device.
Do not use any abrasive or chemical
cleaning agents. These attack the sur-
face of the device.

Before using for the first time
• Remove all packing material.
• Check that the device is undamaged.
• Remove the protective strip from the bat-
tery compartment.
