Electrical safety
• The device may only be connected to a socket
that is correctly installed and grounded.
• The fuse must be a residual current circuit-
breaker with a measured residual current of no
more than 30 mA.
• Make sure that the power supply corresponds
with the connection specifications of the device
before it is connected.
• The device may only be used within the specified
limitations for voltage and power (see type plate).
• Do not touch the mains plug with wet hands!
Always pull out the mains plug at the plug and not
by the cable.
• Do not bend, crush, pull or drive over the power
cable, protect from sharp edges, oil and heat.
• Do not lift the device using the cable or use the
cable for purposes other than intended.
• Check the plug and cable before each use.
• If the power cable is damaged immediately dis-
connect the plug. Never use the device if the
power cable is damaged.
• If the device is not in use make sure the plug is
pulled out.
• Make sure that the device is switched off before
plugging in the mains cable.
• Make sure that the device is switched off before
unplugging it.
• Disconnect the power supply before transporting
the device.
Handling rechargeable devices
• Danger of fire! Only use batteries approved by the
manufacturer. Only use chargers approved by the
manufacturer. Keep battery away from metal
objects that could cause short circuiting when not
in use. There is a risk of injuries and fires.
• Prior to connecting the charger, verify that the
power supply connection corresponds with the
connecting data of the device.
• The fuse must be a residual current circuit-
breaker with a measured residual current of no
more than 30 mA.
• Only charge the battery in closed rooms.
• Ensure that the device is switched off before
installing the battery.
• Never switch on the device during the charging
process.
• Fluid can escape from the battery when used
incorrectly. Battery fluid may result in skin irrita-
tions and burns. Avoid contact! In the event of
accidental contact, rinse thoroughly with water.
Immediately seek the aid of a physician in the
event of eye contact.
Device-specific safety instructions
• When operating the device ensure that the area
you are working in is clean and tidy.
• Do not leave tools, objects or cables lying around
in the vicinity of the device.
• When working with the device make sure the area
is well lit.
• Secure the work piece to be processed to prevent
it from slipping.
• When working on walls, ceilings or floors pay
attention to cables as well as gas and water pipes.
• Only use suitable drill and screwdriver bits.
• Only install drills and screwdriver bits when the
device is switched off.
• Make sure that the drills and screwdriver bits are
securely installed before switching on the device.
• Make sure that the cutting tools are always kept
sharp and clean.
• Prevent overheating of the device and the work
piece.
• Risk of fire caused by sparks and hot shavings!
Remove flammable objects from the area in which
you are working.
• Do not process any materials that contain hazard-
ous substances. There is a risk of cancerous sub-
stances being released!
• Keep the handles dry and free of grease.
• Only use accessories that are appropriate and
authorised for the device. Incorrectly affixed,
damaged and worn tools may cause considerable
vibrations which will make the device uncontrolla-
ble. Loosed or breaking tools or splinters thereof
may cause injuries.
• If the tool jams, switch the device off immediately.
Risk of kick back!
• Allow the device to come to a complete standstill
before putting it down.
• Before carrying out any work on the device, and
when transporting or storing the tool, ensure that
the rotation direction switch is set to the centre
position in order to prevent accidental switch on.
• Symbols affixed to your unit may not be removed
or covered. Information on the unit that is no
longer legible must be replaced immediately.
Before putting the unit into operation, read
and observe the instructions for use.
Only re-charge the battery pack indoors.
Do not dispose of a battery pack with the
household waste!
Do not dispose of a battery pack in water!
Do not burn the battery pack!
Do not expose the battery pack to sunlight or
increased temperatures!
