Danger to children and people with limited ability to operate appliances
• This appliance can be used by children aged 8 and over and by people with
reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or a lack of experience and/
or knowledge, provided they are supervised or have been trained in the safe
use of the appliance and understand the potential dangers. Children must
not be allowed to play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance must
not be carried out by children without supervision.
• The appliance must not be used by people unable to feel heat properly. Small
children react more sensitively to heat than adults. Certain illnesses such as
diabetes may also be accompanied by the inability to correctly perceive
temperature. Frail or sick people or those with special needs or disabilities
may not be able to call for help if they feel too warm. Therefore, do not use
this appliance on children under 3 years of age, frail, sick or disabled people,
or people with impaired sensitivity to heat.
• Keep the packaging materials out of the reach of children.
They pose several risks, including the risk of suffocation!
Danger due to electricity
• Do not use the appliance near water. The appliance must not come into con-
tact with water or any other liquids. Never immerse the product in water or
other liquids as this poses a risk of electric shock.
• Warning – Do not use the appliance near bathtubs, shower units, over
washbasins or any other receptacles filled with water.
• Warning – As additional protection, we recommend installing a residual cur-
rent device (RCD) with a rated tripping current of no more than 30 mA in the
electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask your electrician for advice.
• Do not use the appliance with damp hands or while standing on a damp floor.
• Only use the flat brush and curling iron attachments on dry or damp hair.
If your hair is wet, you can only use the hairdryer/adapter attachment, the
diffuser and the precision nozzle.

Overheating protection
If the appliance overheats, the fuse will automatically switch it off.
1. Slide the On/Off switch downwards, disconnect the mains plug from the
power socket and allow the appliance to cool down.
2. Check whether hair or fluff is blocking the air intake openings. Remove
them if necessary.
M To switch the appliance on again, insert the mains plug into the power
socket and push the On/Off sliding switch upwards.
Cleaning
CAUTION – risk of burns
The appliance and the attachments become very hot during use.
Leave the appliance and attachments to cool down before cleaning them.
There is a risk of burns!
1. Unplug the mains plug from the power socket and remove the attachment.
2. Remove all remaining hairs from the flat brush attachment if necessary.
3. Wipe down the housing and the attachments with a slightly damp cloth.
M If necessary, carefully pull off any hair or fluff caught in the air intake
openings.
