The glue stick does not move:

only appropriate glue sticks, following the technical details.

The glue does not dose evenly:
Make sure the device has reached its optimum melting
temperature before using it. Allow the device to completely heat
up. Press the trigger slowly and evenly.
There is liquid leaking from the stick input:
It may occur that the glue stick diameter is too small or the
melting temperature is too low.
The glue detaches after cooling down:

There are dust, dirt or grease remains on the surface. Clean
and/or carefully sand the surfaces to be glued.

The material to be glued is not suitable for hot melt glue. Use
special glue sticks.
Only one side is glued:
Check the glue has not cooled down before pressing the pieces.
Press the pieces to be glued immediately. You can heat the materials
that cool down quickly with a hot air gun. You can apply glue in dots.
There are glue remains in the shape of "threads".
You must not hold the trigger down after gluing. You must release
the trigger in due time. Scrape the nozzle when you lift the piece.
The glued soles detach:
Moisture makes leather swell. Use special glue sticks.
Glue comes into contact with your fingers:

Glue may go through materials, like paper or certain fabrics.
You must use protective gloves to avoid possible burns when
operating the glue gun. It is also advisable to use a heat-
resistant base, e.g. made of silicone.

If the piece to be glued is made of steel it may heat up. It is
advisable to use protective gloves to avoid possible injuries.
