Use

- Place the water pan on a suitable heat source. Set the adjustable support foot to a height that prevents the
water bath from wobbling to ensure a safe operation.
- If operating with fuel paste or the induction unit CBS, use the optionally available frame. Assure that it is placed
stable, that the fuel paste or the induction unit is properly placed in the corresponding holder and that the
Chafing Dish is set correctly into the frame.
- Fill the water pan with hot water (min. 60-70 °C), considering the MIN and MAX markings.
- Fill the food into the insert and place it in the water pan. Ensure that the insert does not touch the surface of
the water.
- Important: Hot water condenses. Check the water level periodically. Add hot water if needed to prevent the
water from boiling away, resulting in damage.
- For reasons of hygiene, we recommend keeping the food hot no longer than 2 to 3 hours. To maintain the
quality and the required temperature of the food, the lid should be closed after food has been taken out.

Notices for use

- In one rectangular Chafing Dish several inserts can be used.
- Porcelain inserts should be preheated to 70-100 °C before being filled with food to prevent the food from
cooling down too fast.

Position of the lid
The water pan is equipped with a lid brake so that the lid closes automatically and quietly as from an angle of
60°. At an opening angle of 90°, the lid can be easily removed from the water pan and reattached to it. You can
adjust the strength of the lid brake with the enclosed hex wrench. Note the + and – markings on the backside.
When turning in the + direction, you tighten the lid brake and when turning in the - direction, you loosen it.

Changing the insert

Risk of burns or injury!
The insert is hot. Hot water steam can escape when removing the insert.
- Open the lid.
- There are recessed handles at each side of the water pan, which ensure that the insert can be changed easily.
- Check the water level and add hot water if necessary.
- Place a new insert in the water pan.
- Close the lid to keep the food reliably warm.

Cleaning

- Switch off the induction unit/the glass ceramic hob or extinguish the fuel paste.
- Let the Chafing Dish cool down completely.
- Open the lid completely to the 90° position and pull it upwards. Wipe it with a soft cloth, slightly moistened
if needed.
- Remove the insert and clean it with warm water and a mild detergent. Alternatively, you can also clean it in
the dishwasher. In case of stubborn residues let it soak. If necessary, use a commercially available cleaning
agent for stainless steel products in accordance with the instructions for use described there.
- Pour the water out of the water pan and wipe the pan with a soft cloth, slightly moistened if needed.
