Behaviour in the event of fire
Danger!
Careless operation with fuel paste can cause fire.
- Throw a damp (not wet) cloth over the burning objects to smother the flames. Attention: Use a cloth made of
natural fibres only (100% cotton, wool, linen etc.).

Initial operation

Observe the instructions for Installing site requirements described in Chapter 5.1.
Danger!
In case of improper use, i.e., using the wrong heat sources, e.g., induction hob on cooking mode
instead of on keep warm mode.
Caution!
Do not leave children unattended in the vicinity of the product.
Risk of burns or injury!
High temperatures are generated during operation of the Chafing Dish.
5.1
Installing site requirements
- Place the Chafing Dish on stable and flat surfaces only. As well, take into account the weight of the water in
the water pan as well as of the food.
- Make sure there is enough space next to and above the Chafing Dish.
- Keep a safe distance from easily flammable materials such as napkins, tablecloths, etc, especially during
operation with fuel paste.
- When using electric sources of heat, ensure that the power cord does not have any contact to hot surfaces
at the product or other hot surfaces such as hot plates or hot liquids. Make sure it does not pass over sharp
edges and is not kinked or bent.
- Also ensure that the power cord does not hang down from the table or worktop so that no one can trip over it
and cause the product to be pulled down.
5.2
Before the first use
- Read the instructions and safety instructions carefully before using the product.
- Remove all packaging materials and make sure that all parts are present as described in Chapter 8 Scope of
delivery and in proper condition.
- Clean all parts using warm water and a mild detergent. Dry the parts off completely.
5.3
Possible sources of heat
- Built-in induction units or glass ceramic cooktops in keep warm mode
When used with the separately available frames, the Chafing Dishes can be operated on the following sources
of heat:
- Induction unit CBS
- Paste burner
