Loudspeaker
The Wilson Raptor loudspeakers can be used for both stereo and home-theater applications.
Variations in placement of loudspeakers can usually produce big differences in the way they sound
and because no listening rooms are the same we recommend that you spend some time
experimenting with which placement works best in your listening room.
Wilson Raptor Mini, Raptor 1 and Raptor 3 are best used mounted on rigid fioorstands that position
the tweeters approximately at ear level when seated. Shelf or wall bracket mounting is an option but
it provides less opportunity for optimising the sound through adjustment of the speaker position.
Wilson Raptor 5 and Raptor 7, Raptor 9, Raptor 9 MAX models are designed to be floor standing.
Wilson Raptor Vocal is best placed on a cabinet or shelf below the IV screen.
STEREO APPLICATIONS
Placing the loudspeakers at least 1,5-3 m apart will provide the best stereo sound and image.
We suggest that they are positioned at least 30cm from the rear walls and at least 50cm from
the side walls. Fig.1 illustrates this arrangement.
