Preparing for use
APPLIANCE LOCATION
The temperature of environment must not be higher than 40°C and the relative humidity should be less
than 85%. Ensure good ventilation in the room in which the device is being used. There should be at least
10 cm distance between each side of the device and the wall or other objects. The device should always be
used when positioned on an even, stable, clean, fireproof and dry surface, and be out of the reach of
children and persons with limited mental and sensory functions. Position the device such that you always
have access to the power plug. The power cord connected to the appliance must be properly grounded
and correspond to the technical details on the product label.
3.3.
Assembling the device
Fit the arm 1 (Figure 2 below) underneath the device by using the enclosed knurled screw. Fasten the
cable 2 to the overarm with the screw 3. Tighten the screw well to ensure good electrical contact. Slide the
spool carrier 11 (Figure 1) on to the arm and fasten it with the screw 10.
The table on the front of the device serves as a guide. The best way to find the ideal temperature is to try
different temperatures yourself. For example, straightforward cuts you use a high temperature, for
complicated shapes a lower temperature. Please note that too high temperatures will cause untidy edges.
Now move the workpiece through the wire with a light pressure and even speed Be aware that too high
pressure in the direction of the cut when cutting complicated shapes will tend to bend the wire.
Note: It is normal that the wire extends somewhat after being heated for the first time. Stretch the wire
slightly by the first heating and tension it again. The wire will now retain its length.
