microphone cable is correctly positioned in hole of the cover [Fig. 16, A]. Then push the
lower part of the valve cover towards the connector until the two locking tabs [Fig. 16, B]
on both sides lock into position.
3.5 REmOVING ThE mASk uNIT
s-FaCE Mask:
Unscrew the hand screw on the speech diaphragm and slide it upwards. Loosen the
hand screw in the attachment bracket (on visor frame) and remove the unit. Remove
the microphone and cable.
spirOMatiC FaCE Mask:
Remove the speech cone by unscrewing the two hand screws.
Loosen the hand screw in the attachment bracket and remove the unit.
s-n, s-pE anD s-Esa FaCE Mask:
Push at the locking tabs on each side of the exhalation valve cover to release it [Fig.
16, B] and remove the cover. Pull out the microphone.
Loosen the hand screw in the attachment bracket and remove the unit.
CLEaning anD DisinFECtiOn
The SpiroCom mask unit can be left on the mask when cleaning the mask manually
according the user manual for the face mask. Let the unit dry in upright position in
order to let water drain from the ear speaker.

BattEry rEpLaCEMEnt
Always use the specified AAA alkaline batteries Duracell MN2400 and Energizer
E92. Interspiro assumes no liability for mechanical, electrical or any other type of
battery failure.
Do not mix battery manufacturers or old with new batteries.
Cold conditions during storage and use will decrease battery time.
attEntiOn! BATTERIES MUST ONLy BE CHANGED IN AN AREA kNOwN TO BE NON-HAzARDOUS.
Unscrew the battery cover screw using a screwdriver, open the battery cover and
remove batteries [Fig. 17].
Insert new batteries orientated according [Fig. 18]. The orientation is marked on the
backside of the unit. Close the cover and tighten the screw moderately.
