1. THE MOST IMPORTANT FEATURES that
distinguish the SMART FLOW from commonly
used on/off control devices
1. Increased energy efficiency. Compared to the conventional method, a constant pres-
sure water supply system with a frequency converter saves 30% to 60% of energy.
2. Easy to use: all functions can be terminated by pressing a button without the need to
hire programming specialists.
3. The long-term reliability of the pumps working with the inverter: average torque
and shaft wear are reduced thanks to the decreased average rotational speed, which
extends the pump's operational lifetime. The device features soft-start and soft-stop
functions which eliminate hydraulic shock (hydraulic shock refers to a sudden increase
in pressure accompanying a rapid stop or start in the liquid flow).
4. Fully protected: the system incorporates the most versatile over-current, over-voltage,
under-voltage, short-circuit, impeller blocking and dry-running protection technology
without the need to install probes/sensors in the well.
5. Advanced technology: PID algorithm control, technology dedicated to pump drive
control.
6. It complies with CE product safety and environmental protection requirements.
2. SAFETY RULES
• Check the package for damage and whether the data on the name plate are com-
pliant with the purchase order. Check the device for mechanical damage that may
have been sustained, e.g., during transport. Do not connect the controller if there
is visible damage.
• The device may only be connected to a properly grounded mains network. Make
sure that the grounding is sufficient and reliable.
• Check whether the electrical power supply is compliant with the operating manual.
An incompatible electric power supply may result in electric shock or fire.
• Switch off the electric power supply before installing or performing maintenance
work on the device. Otherwise there is a risk of electric shock.
• Do not touch the inverter with wet hands. Risk of electric shock.
• Disconnect the device from the electric power supply immediately upon detecting
any anomalous behaviour in the device. Otherwise there is a danger of electric
shock or fire.
