III. WORKING PRINCIPLE
All objects, solid, liquid or gas emit energy by radiation. The intensity of this energy depends of the temperature in the object.
The infrared thermometer Easy Check is therefore able to measure the human's temperature, only by the energy that person
emits. This measurement is possible, thanks to an external temperature probe on the device, which permanently analyses
and register the temperature of the environment.
Therefore, immediately after the thermometer is closed to the body and the radiation sensor is activated, the temperature is
immediately measured through detecting infrared heat, caused by arterial blood flow. The temperature of the body can be
measured also without any interference from the heating of the surrounding environment.
Note: The reference body temperature for the non-contact infrared thermometer is axillary temperature.
IV. DEVICE DESCRIPTION
➢ See Figure PD:
1. Display; 2. MODE button; 3. Button to change the unit (Celsius or Fahrenheit); 4. Memory button; 5. Infrared sensor;
6.ON/ SCAN button; 7. Cover of the battery compartment.
➢ See Figure D:
8. Celsius; 9. Measured temperature; 10. Fahrenheit; 11. Memory symbol; 12. Low battery symbol; 13. Buzzer/ alarm
symbol.
V. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING
1.Put the batteries in the compartment correctly according its polarity. See Figure B.
2.If using the devise for the first time or when adding new batteries, wait for 10 to 15 minutes for the device to warm up. This
will allow to the device to acclimate to the room temperature.
3.Press the on/scan button, point the device to the forehead (look diagram for pointing the thermometer), on distance from 3
to 5 cm. Press the button ON/ Scan in standby mode and the measuring will finish when the temperature shows itself on the
display or a sound is issued. Measuring time is one second. Note: Do not change the position of the thermometer
before measuring to be finished.
4.Before temperature measuring, ensure that you have removed hair or sweat from the forehead.
➢
How to measure temperature
Hold the thermometer against forehead, in the right area, on distance from 3 to 5 cm.
Press the Scan button for measuring the temperature and it will immediately appear on
the display.
For reliable results follow the guidelines below:
1.Do NOT attempt to take an individual's temperature by aiming the device at a body part other than the forehead (i.e.,
arms, legs, torso, etc.) .
2.Stay still and do NOT move the thermometer before the final result is displayed.
3.Do NOT take an individual's temperature near any drafts (i.e. wind, air conditioner, fans) .
4.Do NOT take an individual's temperature shortly after he or she participated in vigorous physical activity, bathed, took
medicine, ate or drank, or had a cold or warm compress on his or her forehead.
5.Do NOT take an individual's temperature when there has been a significant change in ambient conditions. Allow the device
to adjust to the significant change in the ambient temperature due to a change in environment for at least 30 minutes before
taking the measurement.
6.Wait at least 3 to 5 seconds between measurements.
7.Remove any hair from the forehead.
8.Wipe the forehead, if there is any sweat on it.
9.We recommend that you take three measurements on the forehead. If the results of the three measurements are different,
use the one with the highest value.
VI. MENU SETTINGS AND FUNCTIONS
1. Turning the device on:
„----°C" or „---°F". Then press the ON/
Press the ON/ Scan button, after a second, on the display will be shown symbols
SCAN button once more and the result will show up automatically after 1 second. If you do not use the thermometer
anymore, it will turn off automatically after 30 seconds.
2. Mode switching
а. Press the button "MODE" and the display will show: Body
....°C
b. Press the button "MODE" again and display will show : Room ...°C
c. Press again the button "MODE" and display will show: Surface Temp....°C
Note: The thermometer is set by default on „BODY" mode.
