Installation Requirements

Before the installation, make sure that you have the following:
Flathead screwdriver, Phillips screwdriver, and ESD-preventive wrist strap.
Standard-sized, 19" wide rack with a minimum of 1U height available.
Fiber optical cables for connecting network devices.
Safety Precautions:
The power source should be removed before cleaning the switch. Do not use wet rags
to wipe the switch or clean the switch with liquid.
The switch shall work normally under the correct voltage, so make sure the operating
voltage agrees with the voltage marked on the switch.
To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove its enclosure when the switch is
working, and don't do so at will even if it is not powered.
Anti-static gloves must be worn when replacing the interface board to prevent static
electricity from damaging the veneer.
Do not stare at the optical interfaces directly when the optional optical interfaces of the
switch are in operating mode.
Site Environment:
Make sure that the temperature of the installation site is maintained at 0°C~45°C and the
humidity is maintained at 10%~95%.
The installation site must be well-ventilated. Ensure that there is adequate air ow
around the switch.
