∙ Warning! Misuse of the appliance can

permitted to operate this appliance.

especially during use or cooldown.

may operate the appliance but only if

carry out any cleaning or maintenance

∙ The appliance and its power cord must
be kept well away from children under
8 at all times.
∙ Caution: Keep any packaging materials well away from
children – these are a potential source of danger, e.g. of
suffocation.
∙ Do not turn on the appliance without the grill plate in
place.
∙ Do not place the empty fondue pot on the grill plate.
∙ Make sure the power cord does not come into contact
with hot appliance surfaces.
∙ Deep-frozen food must never be used for grilling or
for making fondue, but should the thawed first and, if
necessary, dabbed dry.
∙ To avoid damage to the coating of the grill plate and
mini pans when removing food, only use non-abrasive
utensils.
∙ Oil/fat may catch fire when overheated. In this case, pull
out the plug and extinguish the fire by placing a lid or a
metal tray onto the bowl.
∙ Never pour water on hot or burning oil/fat!
∙ Caution: Never attempt to carry or move the appliance
when it is hot. Spilled hot oil/fat may cause severe
injuries or burns.
∙ Only use the fondue pot with the respective main unit
and grill plate.
∙ Always remove the plug from the wall socket
- after use,
- in case of any malfunction,
- before cleaning the appliance.
∙ When removing the plug from the wall socket, never pull
on the power cord; always grip the plug itself.
∙ Never touch the power plug with wet hands.
∙ Do not use or store the appliance outdoors!
∙ No responsibility will be accepted if damage results from
improper use, or if these instructions are not complied
with.
Application
∙ The appliance is intended solely for grilling and
gratinating food such as meat, fish, vegetables, cheese,
etc., for cooking meat/vegetables in oil/broth or for
melting cheese or chocolate.
∙ Any other use contrary to the instructions shall be
deemed improper and may result in severe injury or
damage to the appliance.
Before first use
∙ Completely remove all advertising stickers, remaining
packaging materials and inserts.
Never remove the nameplate!
∙ Before using the appliance for the first time, clean all
individual parts with a damp cloth.
∙ Leave the appliance with the grill plate and mini-pans
in place to heat up for about 10 minutes without food
to allow any unpleasant odour to dissipate (you may
notice slight smoke coming from the appliance). Ensure
adequate ventilation by opening windows or balcony
doors.
∙ Clean the appliance including all individual parts
afterwards, as described in Cleaning and care.
Temperature controller and status indicator
∙ The temperature controller regulates the heating time.
The status indicator indicates the current heating
operation status.
Heating on = indicator light on
