Problem
My steam generator
doesn't heat up.
My steam generator
does not produce any
steam.
Water droplets come out
of the soleplate.
My steam generator
occasionally makes a
strange sound.
Dirty water comes out of the
soleplate.
Possible cause
Your steam generator is
not connected properly.
Your steam generator is
not switched on.
The temperaure is set to
MIN.
There is not enough wa-
ter in the water tank.
Your steam generator's
boiler is still heating up.
The selected tempera-
ture is too low for steam
ironing.
The water tank is not fit-
ted correctly.
The steam may not be
visible if your steam
generator is set to a high
ironing temperature.
The selected tempera-
ture is too low for steam
ironing.
If you have left your
steam generator for
some time between
ironing, steam left in
the steam hose can cool
droplets and cause water
droplets to form.
This is the internal
pump transferring water
from the water tank as
required.
Scale and other impurities
have accumulated inside
the boiler of your steam
generator.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Solution
Check the mains power
cord, plug and wall
socket.
Press the on/off switch
to switch your steam
generator on.
Set the temperature to
the required tempera-
ture.
Fill the water tank as
required.
Wait until the steam indi-
cator light stops flashing
and goes out.
Set the temperature to ll
or higher.
Check that the water
tank is correctly fitted.
Set your steam generator
to a lower temperature
(e.g. ll) to check if steam
is being produced.
Set the temperature to ll
or higher.
This is normal. Hold your
iron over an old cloth and
press the steam trigger
until steam rather than
water droplets come
from the soleplate.
This is normal.
Allow your steam generator
to fully cool down then rinse
the boiler
