22 Connecting the camera to PC

Connect the video camera to the USB port of your computer using the included USB cable. The camera will then
switch on automatically. Select the charging mode or storage mode using the "UP" and "DOWN" buttons and confirm
with "OK". When connected to the PC, the camera appears as an additional portable hard drive. All videos and photos
are stored in the DCIM folder and can be retrieved from there.
Note:
Never disconnect the USB cable while transferring files! Do not remove the memory card during data transfer
either to prevent data loss.

23 Troubleshooting

If you have any trouble with your camera, follow the troubleshooting steps listed here.
Problem
The camera won't switch on
with the battery in place
The battery is not charging
The remote control does
not work

Remedy
The battery level is low. Please replace the battery or charge it.
Check that the battery is inserted correctly. If not, try reinserting the battery
reversed by 180°.
The battery insulation tab was not removed.
A flashing red charging LED means that the battery is not inserted correctly
or that the contact surfaces are blocked or soiled. Check that the charging
contacts are clean and free. Reinsert the battery and check that the charge in-
dicator LED is lit continuously. (The charge indicator goes out when the battery
is fully charged.)
When the charge indicator LED is off, the charger or the corresponding cable is
probably not connected or connected incorrectly. Please check the connection.
Before using the remote control, ensure the protective film has been removed
from the batteries or contacts.
Always point the remote control straight towards the camera lens to ensure
strong IR signal reception by the camera.
You cannot switch on the camera with the remote control! You can only switch
it off with the remote control.
Pressing several buttons repeatedly within a short time may cause the software to
crash and the screen to freeze. Should this happen, remove the battery, reinsert
it and restart the camera.
Tip:
Avoid pressing several buttons at a time when the camera is recording vi-
deos or taking photos. Normally, the display shows the "Waiting" symbol.
