10 Getting started

This camera contains a removable, high-capacity rechargeable lithium battery.
Insert the battery into the battery compartment on the underside of the camera correctly. When the battery is
charging, the red LED indicator lights up. When the battery is fully charged, the LED indicator goes out.
Tip:
Switching the device off when charging will help to charge the battery faster.
Insert the SD card into the SD card slot as indicated, with the metal pins pointing downwards. (Only switch the
camera on with the card inserted.)
Make sure the battery is fully charged before using the device. To charge the battery, use the USB-A to USB-C
cable (included) or a suitable USB-C cable. It takes between 1 and 3 hours to charge the battery, depending on
the battery level upon delivery.
SD cards often come locked in read-only mode. To unlock, push the slider towards the bevelled edges.
Always switch off the camera when inserting or removing the memory card.
Format the memory card before using it for the first time on the camera.
Use the memory cards on one camera at a time, and do not mix them up.
Formatting erases all data irrevocably. Take care to transfer the files you need to another medium
beforehand.
