Remove the batteries from the product if you will not use it for a
major period of time.
This product is not for use by children less than 14 years of age
Before cleaning and maintaining the product always observe the
safety instructions which follow:
Live elements may be exposed while covers are opened or compo-
nents are removed. Therefore, disconnect the product from all volt-
age sources and connections prior to any maintenance or repair.
Capacitors in the automobile may continue to be under a tension
even though it has been disconnected from all voltage sources. Any
repair should be made only by an expert electrician who is conver-
sant with the hazards involved and the relevant regulations.
Do not allow the packaging material to be littered. Plastic sheets or
bags, styropor components, etc. could turn into a dangerous toy for
children.

How to unpack
Use a small screw-driver for cross-recessed head screws to remove
the screws holding the remote-control transmitter and the model
vehicle from the package and remove the products.

Remove the transport safety device for the model vehicle by turning
the two screws out of the charging platform from below.
How to prepare for operation
(How to charge)
A NiCd accumulator pack (4.8 V) is installed in the model vehicle
and needs to be charged prior to its first use.
Switch the model vehicle off before charging it (turn the switch at
the underside of the model vehicle to its "OFF" position).
Place the model vehicle onto the charging platform. Make sure the
two charging contacts at the underside of the vehicle are in a con-
tact with those on the platform.
Insert the low-voltage plug of the charging set into the charging
platform.
Plug the charging set into a mains socket (230 V).
The LED on the charging platform will light up as soon as the accu-
mulator pack is being charged. If the LED is lit in red the charging
set is in the quick-charging mode whereas if the LED is lit in orange
the charging set is in the normal charging mode. The average charg-
ing time is abt. 15 minutes.
When the charging procedure is completed first remove the charg-
ing set from the mains. Then, extract the plug of the charging set
from the platform. Take care not to leave the charging set connect-
ed to the mains for more than one charging procedure. Charging
should be done under the supervision by adults. Do not use the set
to charge other products.
How to operate
Make sure the transmission antenna of the remote-control transmit-
ter is properly fixed. Turn it clockwise to fix it, if required.
