left to the builder to decide when best to paint the model's
components.
We recommend only acrylic-based or synthetic enamel paints
for this model. These paints are available in spray cans and in
jars for brush application.
If you have access to "proper" spraying equipment we recom-
mend the use of two-pack enamels or acrylic paints intended
for car finishing.
We suggest that you finish the boat in the colour scheme
shown in the kit box illustrations.
Radio control equipment
We recommend that you install the RC components listed on
the separate sheet. If you prefer to use components other than
those recommended you can still follow the basic arrange-
ment shown, but you may have to make allowance for diffe-
rences in component size.
It is a good idea to connect the RC system initially and switch
it on, as this sets all the servos to neutral. Check that all the
transmitter sticks and trims are at centre when you do this.
Water may get inside the hull and collect in the bilges. Bear

Fix parts 0.1 - 0.3 together using the Spax screws 0.4 - Fig. 1.

Cut the lining strips 0.5 to length and apply them to the contact surfaces.

Remove excess material from the hull 1.1 by cutting along
the marked lines. Keep the cuts vertical as far as possible
- Fig. 2.

Carefully trim the moulded-in stem and stern - Figs. 3 / 4.

Trim the keel end moulding 1.2 as shown. Glue the ABS
reinforcements 1.3 to the inside of the step using ST-E -
Figs. 5 and 6.

Trim the keel end moulding to fit snugly against the hull
step, and temporarily clamp it in place using the jig strips
HL 1 and HL 2. Check alignment carefully, then dismantle

the parts again. Apply ST-E to the joint edges, re-assem-
ble the parts, align the keel end moulding carefully and
tape it in place - Fig. 7.

Drill the holes for the stern tube (2.1) and the rudder bush
(3.4) at the marked points - Fig. 8.

Assemble the stem core from parts 1.4 and 1.5 - Fig. 9.
Sand the assembly to a taper as shown, and trim the
assembly to fit in the front end of the hull; it should be a fai-
rly loose fit.

Fit the stem core, align it using a jig strip and clamp it in
