Controlling the helicopter
In case you don´t know the control functions of your Carrera RC helicopter yet, please take some min-

utes before the first flight in or to make yourself familiar with them. The descriptions left or right refer to
the view out of the cockpit (pilote´s view). Push the throttle up to increase the rotational speed of the main
rotor blades. Increase the rotational speed of the main rotor blades and the model will start to ascend.
If you push down the throttle and thus reduce the rotational speed of the main rotor blades the helicopter will
descend. When the model has lifted off the ground you can get it into stationary hovering without abrupt as-
cending or descending by carefully moving the throttle upwards and downwards. The right-hand joystick can
be used, without using the left-hand joystick, to fly forwards/backwards or in a circle at the same flying height.
Move the right lever (tail) to the left and the helicopter's nose turns (yaws) round the main rotor's axis in

a circle to the left. Move the right lever (tail) to the right and the helicopter's nose turns (yaws) round the
main rotor's axis in a circle to the right. Use the trimmer for tail until you have reached a stable neutral position
of the helicopter when hovering, without moving the right lever (tail).
The forward-/backward lever controls the helicopter´s pitch forward and backward. When shifting the lever

forward the nose of the helicopter will move downwards and the helicopter will fly forward. When shifting
the forward-/backward lever backward the helicopter will move backwards and the helicopter will fly backward.
Choosing the flight area
The helicopter can only be flown outdoors when there is little or no wind. Please be aware that,

although it may be calm on the ground, it may still be very windy even a little way off the ground.
If this warning is disregarded, it may lead to total loss of the helicopter.
After having trimmed your helicopter for flight and having made yourself familiar with the con-

trolling and its functions you may start flying in smaller and less open environments.
Automatic control of altitude
The Helicopter will maintain the current flying altitude automatically as soon as you release the left-hand

joystick during the flight. The right-hand joystick can be used, without using the left-hand joystick, to fly
forwards/backwards or in a circle at the same flying height.
Auto-Start & Fly to ≈ 1 m
Press the 'Auto-start & fly to ≈1 m' button on the controller, in order to start the motors and automatical-

ly fly up to the altitude of about 1 m . You are able to influence the direction of flight at any time during
the starting operation by means of moving the right joystick. The helicopter will maintain itself in position au-
tomatically as soon as the altitude of about 1 m has been reached.
Auto Landing
You can trigger the automatic landing function at any time by means of pressing the 'Auto landing' but-

ton. The speed of the rotors will reduce gradually as a result. You are able to influence the landing posi-
tion at any time during the landing procedure by means of moving the right-hand joystick. The motor will
switch itself off as soon as the helicopter is on the ground.

1. Place the helicopter on a horizontal surface.
2. Link the helicopter with the controller as described in "Linking the model with the controller".
3. Slide the gas lever and the lever for forward / back simultaneously into the right lower corner.
The LED on the helicopter flashes on briefly and then lights up continuously. The signalling tone
will sound once.
4. The neutral setting is completed.
When hovering and without you moving the lever for circling on the spot, if the helicopter rotates to left

or right, proceed as follows: If the helicopter rotates quickly or slowly to the left around its own axis, press
the trimmer for rotation below left in steps to the right. If the helicopter rotates to the right, press the trimmer
for rotation in steps to the left.
Troubleshooting
Problem: Remote control does not work.
Cause: The ON/OFF-power switch is turned "OFF".
Solution: Turn the ON/OFF-power switch "ON".
Cause:
The batteries have been wrongly inserted.
Solution: Check if the batteries have been correctly inserted.
Cause:
The batteries do not have enough power.
Solution: Insert new batteries.
Problem: The helicopter cannot be controlled with the remote control
Cause: The power switch on the reomote control is turned "OFF".
Solution: First turn the power switch on the remote control "ON".
Cause: The remote control is possibly not correctly frequency bound with the receiver on the helicopter.

Solution: Link as described in .
Problem: The rotor blades do not rotate.
Cause: The power switch on the model or the controller is at "OFF"
Solution: Turn the ON/OFF-power switch "ON".
Cause:
The rechargeable battery is too weak or has run out of power.
Solution: Charge the battery (see chapter "Charging the battery").
Problem: The helicopter does not lift.
Cause: The rotor blades rotate too slowly.
Solution: Push the throttle up.
Cause: The battery´s power is not sufficient.
Solution: Charge the battery (see chapter "Charging the battery").
Problem: During flight, the helicopter loses speed and height without any obvious reason.
Cause: The battery is too weak.
Solution: Charge the battery (see chapter "Charging the battery").
Problem: The helicopter lands too quickly.
Cause:
Loss of throttle control.
Solution: Push the throttle down slowly.
Cause: Throttle has been pushed down too quickly.

Ce produit n'est pas conçu pour être utilisé par des enfants sans la surveillance d'une personne chargée
de l'éducation. Piloter l'hélicoptère nécessite une certaine habileté que les enfants doivent acquérir sous la
surveillance directe d'un adulte. Avant la première utilisation : lisez ces instructions avec votre enfant.
Un emploi non conforme peut entraîner de graves blessures et/ou des dommages matériels.
Il doit être piloté avec prudence et circonspection et exige certaines facultés mécaniques et mentales. Le
mode d'emploi contient des consignes de sécurité et des prescriptions ainsi que des indications sur l'entretien
et l'emploi du produit. Il faut impérativement avoir lu complètement et compris ce mode d'emploi avant la
première mise en service. C'est la seule manière d'éviter les accidents accompagnés de blessures et de
dommages. Il convient de tenir l'hélice (rotor) à distance des mains, des cheveux et des vêtements amples
ainsi que d'autres objets tels que des clous ou des tournevis. Ne pas toucher le rotor en mouvement. Veiller
surtout à NE PAS tenir les mains à proximité des pales du rotor !
ATTENTION : Utilisation à l'extérieur uniquement – ne pas utiliser à l'intérieur. Risque de blessures
aux yeux. Afin d'éviter tout accident, ne pas faire voler à proximité du visage. Démarrer et faire voler
sur un terrain adapté uniquement (surface à l'air libre, sans obstacle) et avec un contact visuel direct.
N'utiliser qu'avec une bonne visibilité et dans de bonnes conditions climatiques. En tant qu'utilisa-
teur de ce produit, vous êtes seul responsable de la sécurité de manipulation de sorte que vous ni
d'autres personnes ou leur propriété ne subissent des dommages ou soient mis en danger.
• Ne jamais utiliser cette maquette avec des accus faibles dans le contrôleur.
• Éviter les zones à forte circulation et animées. Veiller à disposer de suffisamment de place.
• Ne pas laisser si possible voler la maquette en pleine route ou dans des lieux publics afin de ne blesser ni
de mettre personne en danger.
• AVERTISSEMENTS : Ne pas démarrer ni faire voler l'hélicoptère tant que des personnes, animaux
ou obstacles se trouvent dans le périmètre de vol de l'appareil.
• Il est strictement interdit de démarrer et de faire voler le Quadrocopter à proximité de lignes à haute tension,
de voies ferrées, de chaussées, de piscines ou de plans d'eau.
• Utiliser uniquement en cas de bonne visibilité et de conditions météorologiques favorables.
• Respecter exactement les instructions et les avertissements pour ce produit et l'équipement supplémentaire
éventuel (chargeur, accus etc.) que vous utilisez.
• Si l'hélicoptère entre en contact avec des êtres vivants ou des objets durs, mettre immédiatement
le levier d'accélération en position zéro, à savoir le joystick gauche doit être en butée inférieure !
• Éviter n'importe quelle humidité, car elle peut endommager le système électronique.
• Il y a risque de graves blessures qui peuvent entraîner la mort si vous mettez des pièces de votre maquette
dans la bouche ou si vous la léchez.
• Ne rien remplacer ou modifier sur l'hélicoptère.
Si vous n'êtes pas d'accord avec ces conditions, renvoyez immédiatement au commerçant la maquette de
l'hélicoptère intégrale dans sont état neuf et non utilisé.
Informations importantes sur les accus Lithium-Polymère
Les accus Lithium-Polymère (LiPo) sont nettement plus sensibles que les accus alcalins ou NiMh usuels qui
sont utilisés normalement pour les télécommandes radio. C'est pourquoi il faut respecter très strictement les
prescriptions et avertissements du fabricant. En cas de mauvaise manipulation de l'accu LiPo, il y a risque
d'incendie. Toujours respecter les indications du fabricant quand vous éliminez des accus LiPo.
