3.2.2. Configuring the upstream channels 1 to 4
The currently measured or configured parameters are displayed in the upper part of the dialogue.
•
Optical Power = Optical input level in dBm
•
RF Level = RF output level in dBµV
•
RF Ctrl Mode = Normal or RFoG
•
Gain Ctrl Mode = AGC (Automatic Gain Control) or MGC (Manual Gain Control).
•
RF-Switch: ON or OFF.
•
ATT: If MGC is set, the configured attenuation in dB is shown here.
•
Channel NO: The correction value for the output level display is shown.
Various parameters can be configured for upstream channels 1 to 4.
Note: You must refresh the browser display so that the values set in the upper display section of the dialogue are

Normal (continuous mode)
RFoG (burst mode)
AGC: optical AGC on
MGC: optical AGC off
ON: RF output on
OFF: RF output off
Sets the attenuation value
in dB
Sets a correction value
Must match with the transmitting Fibre Nodes.
In normal (continuous) mode, the lasers of the Fibre
Nodes are permanently switched on.
In RFoG (burst mode), the lasers are only switched on
when the connected cable modems are transmitting.
In RFoG mode, the noise is lower, so we
recommended this mode.
Automatic Gain Control −10 ... 0 dBm
Manuell Gain Control −30 ... 0 dBm
(this menu is hidden under the RFoG mode)
Switches the RF permanently off
(this menu is hidden under the RFoG mode)
0 ... 30 dB
Only in normal mode when MGC is set
or in RFoG mode
This is a correction value for the output level display
has no effect on the real RF output level on the
corresponding F output connector.
