acoustic emissions
There are moving parts inside air conditioning appliances, such
as fans and motors. The rotations create vibrations which can be
transferred.
While the external unit is being installed, note the possible
installation location of the internal appliance, and the associated
conditions regarding height differences, line lengths, clearances
and the air outlet direction from the external unit.
3.5
notes regarding appliance assembly
To assemble the appliance easily and quickly, we recommend that
two people carry out the assembly.
3.6
accessories
The dual-split external units are supplied with reducers for the
split line connections.
Fixing materials, connecting lines, condensate drain line, electrical
supply cables, etc. are not contained in the standard delivery as
accessories.
The dual-split internal appliances are equipped with a 6 m long
flexible 230 V connecting lead, which must be connected to the
external unit.
3.7
Special accessories
Further available special accessories can be found in our current
sales documents.
4.
installation
4.1
installation information
Observe the maximum height offset and maximum split line
length. In so doing, observe general or listed building regulations
regarding the installation location of the external unit.
Please note that the equipment must be connected via its own
fused power supply that meets local regulations.
Before installing the appliance, please note that the condensate
line must be routed with a natural downward slope. If this is not
possible, a condensate pump must be additionally provided.
4.2
installation conditions and preparations
Prior to installation, ensure that the internal appliance and
external unit are the same output size and are compatible with
one another.
Risk of damage
!
combining the wrong appliances can result in damage
to the appliances.

assembly
5.1
Handling
f Observe the handling symbols on the packaging.
5.2
assembly
The appliance can be mounted on the wall or the ground.
Risk of injury
Ensure that the wall and fixing parts used have sufficient
load-bearing capacity to be able to support the weight
of the appliance.
Furthermore please note:
- Only install the external unit outdoors, never inside a
building. Select an installation location where the external
unit will be as little exposed as possible to rain, snow or
direct insolation.
- Install the external unit where it will be as little exposed
to strong direct wind as possible, but will still be well
ventilated. Air must be able to be drawn in and blown out
unhindered. If necessary, protect against the elements with a
canopy, base and deflectors.
- Ensure that the installation location can support the
weight of the external unit and will permit installation in a
horizontal position. Furthermore, the installation floor must
be solid enough to prevent vibrations.
- You can install the external unit on solid ground or mount it
on the wall using a support panel. Subject to the wall quality,
use heavy-duty rawl plugs.
- For installation on the ground, you must factor in space for
the condensate drain and, if applicable, the depth of snow.
- Ensure that the installation location is at least 3 m from
television and radio aerials. Operation of the external unit
can lead to faults with the radio and television reception.
- Ensure that both the internal appliance and external unit
are installed in such a way that the maximum lengths and
heights of the refrigerant lines between the two devices are
not exceeded.
- When selecting the installation location, ensure that
neighbours will not be disturbed by air flow and operating
noises.
- In rented buildings, obtain the agreement of the owner.
- If you operate the external unit at low outside temperatures,
you must also follow the instructions below:
- Never install the external unit in a location where the air
inlet sides or air outlet side will be directly exposed to
draughts.
- Install the external unit with the air inlet side facing the wall,
to protect it from draughts. It is advisable to install a screen
on the air outlet side of the external unit, to offer protection
from draughts.
