1. Intended use
The Bluetooth USB adapter 1 687 023 777 enables
the wireless connection between PC/laptop and the
following Bosch products:

BEA 030/060/070/460/850/950
R
FSA 050/500/740/760
R
KTS 515/525/540/560/570/590/Truck

Do not use the Bluetooth USB adapter
1 687 023 777 for DCU 100, DCU 130 and DCU 220,
because they are equipped with high-performance
Bluetooth hardware.
2. Important notes
2.1 Wireless connections

Users of wireless systems are responsible for
compliance with the applicable directives and
restrictions in the country concerned.
A "wireless system" in the sense of the European
Directive RED 2014/53/EU (Radio Equipment Directive)
is an electrical or electronic product (component) that
transmits and/or receives radio waves as permitted
for the purpose of wireless communication and/or
radiolocation.
WLAN and Bluetooth instructions can be found in the
separate instructions "Data protection, data security,
wireless connections".

These instructions must be carefully studied
prior to start-up, connection and operation of the
1 687 023 777 and must always be observed.

2.2 What to remember when using the
Bluetooth USB adapter
In order to ensure an interference-free communication,
observe the following notes.

Bosch PCs with operating system Windows 7 or
Windows 10 that are installed in BEA 850/950,
FSA 740 or FSA 760 in the trolley, have to use
the USB 3.0 interface for the Bluetooth USB
adapter1 687 023 777 (see USB interfaces in
respective operating instructions).

It is not possible to operate any other Bluetooth
hardware fitted in or plugged into the PC/laptop
at the same time. Bluetooth hardware that has
been plugged into the PC/laptop must be removed.
Bluetooth hardware that has been installed must be
deactivated (see sec. 2.3).

When using the Bluetooth USB adapter
1 687 023 777, the energy management of the
Bluetooth radio device must be deactivated (see
sec. 2.4).

If the PC/laptop already uses the Bluetooth
USB adapter 1 687 023 449, it does not have
to be replaced by the Bluetooth USB adapter
1 687 023 777.

The Bluetooth USB adapter 1 687 023 777 only
works in connection with the Microsoft Bluetooth
driver. The procedure on how to select the Microsoft
Bluetooth driver is described in DDC's online help
(as of version ESI[tronic] 2.0 - 2015/3).
