Maintenance:
All servicing and maintenance work must be carried out by a qualified person.
In all cases, before reques�ng technical assistance for a suspected malfunc�on, check that the
malfunc�on is not due to other causes, such as a temporary lack of water or electricity. Before
carrying out any maintenance or cleaning work, first disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
Magnesium anode:
The main problem we face with an electric water heater is corrosion inside it. Water, limescale and
temperature mean that, over �me, the water heater corrodes inside and ends up causing an
irreparable leak, and therefore the inevitable replacement of the electric appliance with a new one.
The only way to protect the water heater is to use a sacrificial anode or a magnesium anode, the
system is very simple, to prevent corrosion we have a more sensi�ve element that will absorb the
electrochemical reac�on that occurs during oxida�on, in this way they are the ones that suffer from
corrosion while the element they protect remains in perfect condi�on.
Maintenance of the sacrificial anode is very simple. A worn sacrificial anode ends up leading to
corrosion and the inevitable deteriora�on of the Water Heater.
To replace it, simply follow the steps below:
1.
Electrically disconnect the water heater from the network.
2.
Close the cold water inlet.
3.
Open a hot water valve to empty the water heater.
4.
Close the hot water outlet stop cock.
5.
Empty the water heater.
