Safety
Danger when using
electronic household
appliances
WARNING
Risk of electric shock!
Faulty electrical installation or
excessive mains voltage may
result in an electric shock.
■ Only connect the appliance
if the mains voltage at the
socket corresponds to what
is indicated on the type
plate.
■ Only plug the appliance into
an easily accessible socket
so that you can quickly dis-
connect it from the mains
in the event of a fault.
■ Do not operate the appli-
ance if it is visibly damaged
or if the mains cord/plug is
defective.
■ If the supply cord is dam-
aged, it must be replaced
by the manufacturer, its
service agent or similarly
qualifi ed persons in order
to avoid a hazard.
■ Do not open the housing;
instead, have a qualifi ed
professional perform the
repairs. Contact a special-
ist workshop for this. Liabil-
ity and warranty claims will
be rejected in the event of
repairs performed by the
user, improper connection
or incorrect operation.
■ Only parts that comply with
the original device data
may be used for repairs.
■ To avoid dangers arising
from inadvertently reset-
ting the protective tem-
perature limiter, the appli-
ance must not be powered
by an external switching
device such as a timer and
must not be connected to
a circuit that is regularly
switched on and off by a
device.
■ Never immerse the appli-
ance, the mains cord or the
mains plug in water or in
any other liquid.
■ Never touch the mains plug
with damp hands.
