The device must be installed on a flat, even surface.
When setting up devices up to 450 kg, you must ensure that floors and
ceilings in areas used for industrial purposes are designed for a loading of
2
1500 N/m .
The load bearing capability of ceilings with wooden joists must be demon-
strated in detail.
The device may not be operated outside.
For altitudes greater than 2000 m above sea level a conversion must be
carried out to ensure trouble-free operation. Please contact Customer
Service (see page 2) before carrying out the conversion and starting up the
unit for the first time.

The electrical connection on the building side (mains socket) may only be

made by a licensed electrical engineering company! The national regula-
tions in the country where the device is operated are to be observed. Da-
ta and/or control cables are to be installed at least 10 cm away from the
mains cable. The mains connection must be installed before the device is
assembled.
Max. allowed network impedance 0,095 Ω.

It is recommended that a selective residual current device with a rated

trip current of 30 mA be installed. Only one device shall be connected to
any given residual current device.
 The device must be connected to a protective conductor.
 The cross-section of the lines must be chosen in compliance with the
national regulations (in Germany: VDE0100), e.g. line lengths and the
device lead are to be taken into consideration. An individual line is re-
quired for each device. The labelling must show the assignment to the
device.
 The electrical installation is to be fitted with an easily accessible all pole
isolating device (master switch) on the building side, complying with
overvoltage category III. This means that each pin shall have a contact
opening width complying with the conditions of overvoltage category III
for full isolation.
 If the connection is carried out using a plug connection, a plug system
should be used that corresponds with the current EN 60309 version.
 The connections and the associated fuses must be readily accessible.
