WARNING
Electric shock and fire hazard due to short circuit
Among other things, a short circuit can be caused by defective cables,
moisture or wetness. In the event of a short circuit, either the insulation
or the cable wire may melt. This can cause a fire or electric shock.
■ Only use the original cables supplied with the lamp.
■ Only operate the lamp in dry rooms and outdoors. When outdoors,
only operate in dry weather conditions.
■ Always avoid the lamp or the power supply unit coming into contact
with moisture or water. Do not touch it with wet hands or feet.
■ If the lamp has fallen, first have it checked by a qualified electrician
before switching it on again.
■ If the lamp is damaged or defective, or if you notice a smell as if
something is burnt, do the following:
→ Immediately disconnect the power supply by unplugging the
mains plug or removing the battery and do not use the lamp
again.
→ Do not open the lamp.
→ Never repair the lamp by yourself. Have the lamp repaired by
a qualified electrician only.
CAUTION
Risk of electric shock
■ Note that, even when switched off, the lamp is still connected to
the power supply. The lamp is only really de-energized when you
disconnect the lamp from the power supply by pulling out the
mains plug and removing the battery.
■ Before performing any installation or maintenance work, switch off
the lamp and disconnect the power supply by pulling out the mains
plug.
