1. Safety notes
This unit is constructed for panel and cabinet installation. It complies with the safety
requirements to EN 61010-1 / VDE 0411 Part 1 and has left our works in perfect and
safe condition.
Danger!: Safe operation can only be guaranteed if all hints and warning notes in
these operating instructions are heeded:
• The unit is only to be operated in an installed condition.
• Installation and connection must only be done by skilled and qualified personnel.
Please take care of the local legal access protection requirements.
• Always connect the earth (ground) protection cable before attempting to connect
any other cables. It can be dangerous if this protection cable is interrupted or
broken.
• Before installing please compare the supply voltage with that on the unit legend
plate.
• A switch or power isolator must be installed within reach of the unit. It must also be
identified as a power isolator.
• A power fuse of 10 A must be installed.
• If it is assumed that the unit cannot be safely operated (e.g. visible damage) it must
be immediately taken out of operation and secured against unintentional use
• Repairs must only be done by trained service personnel.
Danger!: The power plug may only be connected to a socket with an integrated earth
(ground) protection point. This earth (ground) protection must not be broken even
when operating using an extension lead.
