1 USE INSTRUCTIONS
1-1 Before using the platform
a) Any user must be fit enough to use this
platform. Some conditions or medications,
excessive drinking or drug use can make it
dangerous to use the platform.
b) Examine the platform after delivery and
before using it for the first time to confirm
that it is in good condition and that all its
component parts work properly.
c) Visually examine the platform before each
use to check that it is not damaged and that
it can be used safely.
d) Regular inspection is required for
professional users.
e) Check that the platform is suitable for the
work envisaged.
f) Do not use a damaged platform.
g) Remove any wet paint, mud, oil or snow,
etc. from the platform.
h) Before using a platform in a professional
context, a risk assessment needs to be done
according to the legislation in the country of
use.
1-2 Positioning and fitting the platform
a) The platform must be installed in the
appropriate position, completely opened.
b) Fit the guard rails supplied with the
platform.
c) Check that the guard rails are correctly
installed on the platform and close the gate
opposite the access point by clipping it on
the guard rail tube.
d) The locking devices must be completely
locked.
e) The platform must rest on an even, flat,
fixed and non-slip surface.
f) The platform must never be repositioned
from a high-up position.
g) When installing the platform, take into
account the risk of collision with the
platform, for example, collision with
pedestrians, vehicles or doors. Secure the
doors (but not the emergency exits) and
windows on the site, if possible.
h) Identify any electrical risk on the site, for
example, bare electrical equipment.
i) The platform must rest on its shoes and not
on the steps, wheels or cross-member.
1-3 Using the platform
a) This platform has been designed for one-
man use.
b) Remember to close the gate on the steps side
by clipping it on the guard rail tube before
beginning a job.
c) Do not attempt to reach a point which is too
far away; the user must have his waist
between the platform's guard rails and both
feet on the floor of the platform throughout
a job.
d) Do not use a platform to access another
level.
e) Do not increase the working height by
putting a ladder, stepladder or other object
on the floor of the platform.
f) Do not use the platform outside when
weather conditions are unfavourable (for
example, in strong winds).
g) Take the necessary precautions to prevent
children from playing on the platform.
Remember to fold the platform when it is
not in use.
h) Do not stay on the platform for too long
without taking regular breaks (tiredness is a
risk).
i) Tools or materials carried when using a
platform must be light and easy to handle.
j) Do not use the platform for work which has
to be carried out with/on live equipment.
k) When doing a job, take every safety
measure to ensure a stable position on the

ensuring that there is no-one or nothing on
the platform.
