Wall-Mounted Hose Box
Translation of the original instructions.
Intended use:
For safety reasons, children and young people under 16 as well as anyone who is
not familiar with these operating instructions should not use the product. Persons
with reduced physical or mental abilities may use the product only if they are
supervised or instructed by a responsible person. Children must be supervised to
ensure that they do not play with the product. Never operate the product when
you are tired, ill or under the influence of alcohol, drugs or medicine.
The Hose Box is only suitable for outdoor use.
The product is intended exclusively for use in private household gardens or on
private allotments.
1. SAFETY
IMPORTANT!
Read the operator's manual carefully before use and keep for future
reference.

DANGER!
v Physical injury through prestressed springs.
The Hose Box may not be opened.
Risk of crushing between product and bracket! Product can be pivoted 180°.
When placing the hose box on the holder, make sure that you stand securely and
that you carry the load as close as possible to your body.
Keep your back straight. Do not lift with your upper body bent forward or with
a hollow back.
Keep children away from the product.
Keep any third parties away from the product while it is in use.
Do not place any additional load on the wall bracket.
Choose a mounting location that prevents water from entering the building in the
event of a leak.
Depressurise the hose when not in use.
We recommend a mounting location that is protected against direct sunlight so
that the unit and hose do not overheat.
DANGER! Risk of suffocation!
Small parts can be easily swallowed. There is also a risk that the poly-
bag can suffocate toddlers. Keep toddlers away when you assemble the
product.
Risk of scalding if hose is exposed to direct sunlight for a long period.
For safety reasons, the hoses may only be replaced by GARDENA Service.

2. ASSEMBLY
To assemble the wall bracket [Fig.
CAUTION!
The supplied wall plugs are suitable for cement walls (plaster up
to 1 cm). For other wall types, special wall plugs must be used.
The accompanying wall bracket is designed to be fitted on a level
surface. Fitting on uneven surfaces could damage the wall bracket.

1. Unscrew the locking screw.
2. Mark the 3 boreholes.
3. Drill the 3 boreholes in the wall with an 8 mm drill bit.
4. Insert the 3 dowels in the 3 holes.
5. Screw the wall bracket to the wall with the 3 screws
(spanner size 10 mm) and the 3 washers.
Risk of crushing between product and bracket!
The product can be pivoted 180°.
6. Place the Hose Box onto the wall braket using both hands.
7. Secure the hose box with the locking screw.
8. Connect the connecting hose to the tap.
3. OPERATION
Do not use a damaged product.
v Check the product for damage before rolling up and unwinding.
CAUTION! Crushing and entanglement hazard due to high spring force!
v Keep your fingers, hair, clothing and all other objects away from the hose
and inlet shaft!
Unwind:
v Pull out the hose to the desired length.
The hose can be locked at intervals of approximately 25 – 45 cm.
Roll up:
v In the event of problems with the hose coiling action, uncoil the hose slowly,
clean the surface with a cloth and then allow the hose to coil up again. If the
hose still does not coil up properly, please contact GARDENA Service.
v With the nozzle, return to the Hose Box and release the lock through a short
tug on the hose.
In case of hose blockage, pull the hose out completely and let it retract again.
Through a special braking technique, the hose rolls up securely and evenly on its
own. The locking mechanism clicks during unwinding and roll-up.
4. STORAGE
To put into storage:
The product must be stored away from children.
v Empty the hose completely before storing the hose box.
The Wall-Mounted Hose Box can remain outside in a depressurized state
throughout the winter months.
Disposal:
v Empty the hose completely before disposing of the hose box.
