Es erfasst die vorbei- laufenden Tiere mit dem eingebauten Infrarot-Sensor und erzeugt dann Schallwellen, die zwischen 20.000 Hz und 27.000 Hz variieren. Diese Töne empfinden die Tiere als unange- nehm.
