Warning! The energiser will reactivate following a power failure, even if it was switched off via
remote control handset prior to the power failure. Therefore, for your safety, we recommend that
you deactivate the isolated section with a cut-out switch or disconnect the energiser from its power
source while doing lengthy maintenance work on the fence.
Communication between energiser and remote control
The P4600/P6000 will only accept commands from a remote control handset when the remote
control feature is activated on the energiser. As a rule it is pre-programmed at the factory. In case
this did not happen it has to be activated one time only. The energiser and the remote control will
only communicate when both are set to the same address setting.
Activating the energiser for use with a remote control
To find out if the remote control feature is activated on the energiser:
1. Move the switch of the energiser to
Wait 5 seconds and switch it back on to the desired position.
2. Wait for the display of the output voltage.
3. A blinking arrow at the right of the display indicates that
the remote control feature is not activated.
4. If the arrow at the right of the display is continuously lit, the remote
control feature is activated. Meanwhile the arrow at the right of the
display flashes.
To activate the remote control feature on the energiser:
Note: The energiser's remote control feature can be only be activated during the first 10 minutes
of operation.
1. Ensure the code of the remote control is set to 1
(refer to the operating instructions of the remote control handset for more information).
2. Move the switch of the energiser to
Wait 5 seconds, and switch it back on to the desired position.
3. Wait for the display of the output voltage.
4. Press
to turn on the remote control handset.
5. Hold the remote control handset within 5 to15 cm of the energiser and press
The energiser will stop pulsing and the word "OFF" will appear in the top part of the display.
The arrow on the right of the display will stop flashing and remains continuously lit.
6. Turn off the energiser completely with the switch on
