7 Installation and commissioning

This chapter contains information on commissioning.
Please follow the procedure described here.
Note that commissioning is only possible with a fully
wired PegaSys system. If desired, TELNET connections
can be prevented with the command netpar -t. After
this setting is applied, access to the service interface is
only possible via a secure connection, e.g. via an SSH
connection.
NOTE
Protected installation area
The contacts of the online controller are freely access-
ible and can be tampered with.
Mount the online controller in a secured area, e.g. a

lockable distribution box.
1. Mount the online controller on a DIN top-hat rail TS
35.

2. Fully wire the PegaSys system.
3. Switch on the operating voltage.
The online controller boots, starts the

application and then establishes the connection
to the readers. It may therefore take up to 30
seconds for the online controller to respond.
LEDs L2 and the bus LEDs on the online

controller light up or flicker.
