7. Connecting devices
7.1. Connecting the headphones
Headphones are connected to the headphone socket. This will switch the main
loudspeaker on the television to mute. The volume buttons and the
control the volume to the headphones.
WARNING!
DANGER OF HEARING DAMAGE!
In order to prevent any damage to your sense of hearing,
avoid listing to music at high volumes for long periods of
time.
− Before pressing play, set the volume to the lowest setting.
− Start playback and increase the volume to a comfortable
level.
7.2. Digital amplifi er via coaxial connection
You have the option of outputting the audio signal from your LCD TV via a digital
amplifier using the S P D I F C O A X O U T connection.
 To do this, connect a coaxial cable to the S P D I F C O A X O U T connection
on the LCD TV and the corresponding input on the amplifier.
7.3. Connecting a soundbar/surround sound system
If you want to connect a soundbar or a surround sound system to optimise the
sound, you can use the following connection methods:
Via the SPDIF COAX OUT connection
 If your soundbar/surround sound system has a coaxial SPDIF connection, use a
cinch cable (not supplied) to connect it to the S P D I F C O A X O U T con-
nection on the LCD TV.
 If your soundbar/surround sound system has an optical SPDIF connection,
use an adapter (optical to coaxial, not supplied) to connect it to the S P D I F
C O A X O U T connection on the LCD TV.
