hansgrohe home app and Connection to the Internet
A Hansgrohe Aqittura M91 connected to the internet via WLAN can be integrated
and configured in the Hansgrohe home app. Messages can be sent via this app in
the form of push messages.
A WLAN router with internet access (2.4 GHz, IEEE 802.11b/g/n) is required.
Installation of the app:
If an update of the app or the device firmware is required, the smart phone must
be in the immediate vicinity of the Hansgrohe Aqittura M91. In this way, any
interruptions to function that may have been caused can be checked and rectified.
Operating conditions
Sources of interference
The transmitter/receiver unit operates in the ISM band (2.4 GHz). Installation near
devices assigned to the same channel (e.g. WiFi devices, HF components, etc.
[note manufacturer's documentation!]) must be avoided.
Obstacles/barriers
If operated in an unsuitable environment, for example in buildings or rooms with
reinforced concrete walls, steel and iron frames or near metal obstacles (such as
furniture), the wireless reception may be disrupted or stopped. It may be necessary
to connect a WiFi repeater to the main router to increase the wireless signal range.
Description of Device
• The device has a display and various keys on the top. The keys are necessary
for configuration and show status messages, e.g. when a cartridge needs to be
changed.
• The device has space for a filter and a CO2 cartridge.

Function
Water flows from the water inlet first through the filter (for filter description, see
consumables). Then the water flows through the cooling module and, depending
on the type of water selected, through the CO2 tap or directly to the water outlet.
When carbonated water is requested, carbon dioxide is added into the water.
The entire water system must be chemically cleaned at regular intervals.

Assembly (see page 70)
Assembly instructions
• The pipelines and the tap must be installed, flushed and tested in accordance
with the applicable standards.
• Country-specific installation guidelines must be observed.
• To ensure sufficient air supply and an outlet duct for warm air, an outlet opening
is required. The minimum cross-sectional area of the required outlet opening is
200 cm².
• Only 425 g or 2 kg CO2 containers intended for foodstuffs may be used.
• When using the extension set (76816000), the delivery conditions change.
Among other things, the system provides for a lag time of up to 2.7 seconds for
soda water delivery. This depends on the length of the connection hose. The
set-up is made via the hansgrohe home app.

Initial start up (see page 70)
• To ensure that the device is in perfect hygienic condition, the water-conducting
components are filled with nitrogen at the factory.
Before the device can be flushed with water, the nitrogen filling the CO2 mixing
tank must first be flushed out. This is done with CO2 gas.
• After the initial start-up, the correct filter must be set. (see page 74 / Fig. 6)
• The connection hose to the SodaBase must be inserted as far as it will go.
• Before commissioning, the entire system must be checked for leaks.
Operation (see page 75)
To be able to use the full range of functions, it is necessary to install the
hansgrohe home app.

Chemical cleaning (see page 76)
• For 2 kg cylinder, close the stopcock first, then follow the further steps.
• After chemical cleaning, residues from the cleaning tablets in the cleaning cup
can be disposed of in the household waste.
• #76817000 cleaning tablets are not included in the scope of delivery.

2
• A completely empty CO2 cylinder can be recognised by the decrease of the
bubble content in the soda water. Additional indication, of a CO2 cylinder
running low or being fully depleted is the tap LED lighting up and a light signal
on the device. When the capacity is nearing its end, the CO2 key pulses slowly.
When the CO2 cylinder is depleted, the key flashes quickly.
• 425 g CO2 cartridges (screw version, not "quick connect") are available in
chemists, electronics stores and supermarkets.
• Alternatively, when connecting a 2 kg CO2 cylinder (see page 75)
• For conversion to an external 2 kg CO2 cylinder, an additional accessory set
#76819000 is required. Set the external pressure reducer to 0.4 MPA (4 bar).
