1 System Requirements
- IBM compatible AT 80286 or higher
- A graphics card supported by WINDOWS 3.1/95/98
- 4 MB RAM, of which at least 540 kB free base
memory
- Software MS WINDOWS version 3.1 or later
- MS DOS version 3.3 or later or similar operating
system, or OS 2
- Diskette drive 3.5"/1.44 MB
- Hard disk of at least 4 MB free memory
NOTE
By purchasing this programme you are only entitled to
use it. It is not permitted to copy or publish the pro-
gramme or parts of it in any way.
2 Installation of CAAD 3.0
CAAD 3.0 cannot directly be started from the diskette.
It must be installed on a hard disk. Insert your original
diskette in your 3.5" drive. Start WINDOWS from your
hard disk, activate the file manager, change into the
3.5" drive, and start the programme SETUP.EXE.
You are at first requested to indicate the drive and
the directory in which the CAAD 3.0 programme is to
be installed.

After confirming the entry the SETUP programme

automatically copies all necessary files into the direc-
tory indicated. Besides the system files are copied into
the directory SYSTEM of WINDOWS. SETUP automa-
tically creates a new WINDOWS frame into which the
icon of CAAD 3.0 is placed.
The original floppy disk is copy protected. The auth-
orisation is automatically copied from the floppy disk to
your hard disk. The protection window of the original
disk has to be closed. The authorisation will not be
transferred if the protection window is open!
After the installation the programme is immediately
ready for operation.
NOTE
To uninstall an authorisation from hard disk to the
floppy disk (e. g. when changing the system or hard
disk) proceed as follows:
WINDOWS 3.1
Start the disk manager from WINDOWS. Change into
the dirctory of CAAD3_0 and mark the file "WIN-
MOVE.EXE". Then open the menu option "Execute ..."
in the menu "FILE". Then edit the command line and
type "WINMOVE.EXE c: a:" (or ... d: a: or ... d: b: and
so on). Confirm with the "OK" button.
After uninstalling the authorisation, the programme will
run no longer from hard disk!
WINDOWS 95/98
Click on the "Execute ..." icon in the start menu of Win-
dows and edit the command line. Then type "WIN-
MOVE.EXE c: a:" (or ... d: a: or ... d: b: and so on).
Confirm with the "OK" button.
After uninstalling the authorisation, the programme will
run no longer from hard disk!
3 Programme Start
To start the programme, double-click at the CAAD 3.0
icon with the left mouse key. For some seconds the
opening screen is displayed, then you are in the main
menu of CAAD 3.0.
4 The Submenus
4.1 File
Load database file: Here you can choose the speaker
database file of which you can take your Thiele-
Small parameters for the speaker calculations.
Default database file is IMG.TTN.
Create database file: If you wish to create further
database files except IMG (.TTN/.MTN/.HTN), you
can create any number of database files with this
menu item. Insert the database name in the upper
text field (max. 8 signs). Click at the command but-
ton "Create database file". CAAD 3.0 now automati-
cally creates 3 files: one for bass, one for midrange,
and one for high range speakers.
Load project: With CAAD 3.0 you can save calculated
data as a project. The file ending is ".PKT". With the
