Food storage
Cold air circulation in the refrigerator leads to different temperatures in different areas, so various food
types should be placed in different areas.
The fresh food compartment is suitable for foods that must not be frozen, cooked food, beer, eggs,
some condiments requiring low temperature storage, milk, fruit juice, etc. The crisper draw is suitable
for vegetables, fruit , etc.
The freezer drawers are for ice cream, frozen foods, and foods suitable for long storage times.
Use of the fresh food compartment
When you remove the shelf, lift it first and then slide it out; when refitting the shelf, position it before
lowering it. For the double shelf, push the first section towards the back and then pull out the second
section.
NOTE:For all shelves. Keep the rear flange of the shelf upwards to prevent the foods
from coming into contact with the inner walls of the refrigerator. When removing or fitting
the shelf, hold it firmly and handle it with care to avoid damage.
Storing fruit and vegetables
The refrigerator features drawers in which fruit and
vegetables can be stored at a suitable humidity level.
Pull out the crisper drawer to reach its contents. After
using or cleaning the crisper compartment cover, make
sure you refit it correctly to avoid changing the internal
temperature.
If your fridge has a chiller compartment, pay attention
because certain types of vegetables and fresh fruit are
sensitive to the cold and are therefore unsuitable for
storage in this type of space. Follow the instructions on
the package.
Using the freezer
The freezer temperature is kept below -15°C (preferably -18°C), i.e. the recommended temperature for
long term food storage.
NOTE: Check the storage life of foods as shown on the package.
Place the ice cube tray at the top of the freezer so the water freezes rapidly.
The freezer drawers are used to store foods that must be frozen. Fish and meat should be placed in dry
freezer bags for storage and distributed uniformly in the freezer drawers. If necessary, divide large size
food items into smaller pieces. Food must be packaged or wrapped in suitable materials: strong,
impermeable to air and water, non-toxic and non-polluting, to avoid contamination and odour
formation.
