7 Getting started

7.1 Preparation for use/installation
Carefully read the complete operating instructions and the safety informa-
tion before using the device in order to ensure its proper commissioning!
In case of doubt, have the installation and connection performed by a spe-
cialist.
The product must only be used when it is mounted in a fixed location.

Connection may only be performed in a de-energised/currentless state. Otherwise there is

a risk of a fatal electric shock!
The product is only suitable for devices operating from the mains voltage.

The power consumption of the connected loads must not exceed the rated power of the

product. Refer to the "Technical data" section.
The product must not be connected to a dimmer on the grid side! It should only be connec-

ted directly to the mains voltage or through a conventional switch.
7.2 Installation
Refer to the section "Preparation for use/installation".
You should install the product before you connect it.

If dowels are needed to fix the product at the chosen place of installation (depending on the

configuration), mark the exact position of the two drill holes through the mounting holes (E).
Make sure you do not damage any existing wires or pipes when drilling mounting holes
or tightening screws.
If necessary, insert the two dowels into the drill holes.

Use the two screws to fix the mount in the desired position.

7.3 Connecting the device

Refer to the section "Preparation for use/installation".
Unscrew the four fastening screws (D) securing the housing and remove the lid.

The wires of the two cables connected

to the Wi-Fi switch should be stripped
about 6 mm.
The input cable's protective conductor must be about twice as long as the L and N wires.
When connecting flexible cables, the wire ends must be fitted with ferrules! It may be
necessary to use a double ferrule for both protective conductors based on the cable
thickness.

glands (C).
Push the mains voltage cable and the output

cable through the glands near the respective
terminals.
Connect the L of the mains voltage to the

L_IN screw terminal (I).
Connect the N of the mains voltage to the

N_IN screw terminal (J).
Connect the L of the output cable to the

L_OUT screw terminal (G).
Connect the N of the output cable to the N_OUT screw terminal (F).

Connect both protective conductors to the G screw terminal (H).

Check all screw terminals again to make sure they are firmly tightened.

After connecting the Wi-Fi switch, replace the lid and secure it with the four fastening

screws.
When replacing the lid, ensure that the touch button (A) is aligned with the metal spring on
the circuit board. Also, ensure that the seal is correctly seated in the groove.
Now connect the mains voltage.

For this purpose, plug the mains cord into the mains socket.
In the case of a permanent installation, screw the fuse that was removed earlier back in or
switch on the circuit breaker.
It only takes a few seconds for the Wi-Fi switch to start up.
