GENERAL
The LAKE PEOPLE DAC C410 / C416 is a stereophonic digital to analogue
converter of highest quality.
It converts a linear (PCM) digital signal of up to 24 bit width and a sample rate of
28 ... 210 kHz with a dynamic range of 115 dB and THD+N as low as –103 dB
into an analogue stereo output signal.
The digital inputs are designed to transformer balanced AES/EBU specifications
with XLR connector as well as to unbalanced S/P-DIF (AES-id) standard with
RCA terminal.
As an option, C416 may be equipped with a USB input. This is available as
"USB 24/96", supporting the sample rates 44.1, 48 and 96 kHz or as "USB
24/192", supporting the sample rates 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4 and 192 kHz.

The inputs are selectable with a switch on the front panel. LEDs indicate the
"LOCK" and "ERROR" status.
The analogue output terminals are located on the rear panel. Signal is available
via unbalanced gold plated RCA connectors. The max. analogue output level
can be set +3/+9/+15 dBu for 0 dBFs by means of internal jumpers.
The Models C410-H and C416-H are including a headphone amplifier. Internally
the amps offer 3 selectable output levels of +3/+9/+18 dBu for 0 dBFs.
The headphone amplifier is accessible by a 6.3 mm (1/4") phone jack located on
the front panel.
THE CASE
The made is made of 3 mm black anodized aluminium. This provides high
mechanical stability and resistance against rough handling. It is providing
excellent electrical conductance for optimum EMC characteristics.

THE POWER SUPPLY:

The appliance should only be operated with the provided wallplug adaptor.
Other power sources may be used under the following circumstances:
The power source shall deliver a proper DC voltage within the range of 9 ... 15
Volt. The power source shall be able to deliver 1.5 times the current which is
marked on the back of the unit.
