6 Product information
• ERV 120 and ERV 150 are speed controllable.
• ERV 120 TC and ERV 150 TC with adjustable
overrun time are not speed controllable.
• The ERV fan can be used in continuous opera-
tion. Connecting 2 fans, one after another, res-
ults in twice the level of pressure.
• ERV 150 and ERV 150 TC must not be con-
trolled with a timer, time switch or similar to
avoid unintentional restarting.
• ERV 150 and ERV 150 TC with thermal over-
load protection, not self-resetting. In the
event of overload/overheating/blockage, the fan
switches off automatically. Once the fault has
been rectified and the unit has cooled down,
switch off the mains fuse and switch it back on
again. Only then can the fan be started again.
7 Ambient conditions
• Permissible maximum temperature of air me-
dium + 40 °C.
• Resistance to interference according to EN
55014-2 depending on pulse shape and energy
component 1000 to 4000 V. If operating with
fluorescent tubes, extra interference suppres-
sion measures are needed (L or C components
or RC modules, protection diodes, varistors) be-
cause these values may be exceeded.
• Storage: Store unit exclusively in a dry location
(-20 to +50 °C).

9 Mounting preparations
1. Fig. A: Drill core hole (DN 138 or DN 170). At-
tach WH 120 or WH 150 wall sleeve (depend-
ing on the unit type).
2. Route power cable to installation site.
Observe the appropriate power cable length
for installation.
Recommendation: Consider minimum in-
stallation height of 2.3 m.

electrical connection
NOTICE: Install ERV only in combination with a
WH 120 / WH 150 wall sleeve. Damage to unit/
functional problems in the event of rubbing im-
peller.
Do not insert the housing such that it is twisted or
crushed.
NOTICE: Risk of short circuits/damage to unit if
condensation builds up in the fan housing.
Thermally insulate ventilation ducts properly.
Cut off and insulate PE conductor and indi-
vidual cable cores that are not required. Guide
power cable correctly through cable grommet
into unit to avoid damage (e.g. from condens-
ation). The cable grommet must tightly seal
the connection cable.
1. Fig. B: Remove the terminal compartment
cover. Attach the cable grommet.
2. Fig. C, pos. I: If desired, break out the recess
at the predetermined knockout point of the
side wall of the fan (9:00 o'clock position) in
order to lead the cable from outside the fan to
the terminal compartment.
