This chapter provides you with important notices with regard to operating the device.
Observe the following notices to avoid dangers and damages.
Diff erent types of bread have diff erent characteristics. Correspondingly, the same toasting
setting may produce diff erent results for diff erent types of bread.
WARNING

Do not leave the device unsupervised during operation.

Never use metal utensils to remove food that may be stuck! Remove the plug and
instead use a blunt wooden item (e.g. wooden spoon). Do not touch the heating
elements!

Do not use bread slices that are too thick or too large, as these can easily jam and
then burn.
5.1 Before fi rst use
1.
Remove all packaging material. In particular, make sure that the packaging material
inside the bread slots is removed.
2.
Clean the device with a damp cloth.
3. Use the device without food.
PLEASE NOTE

When using the device for the fi rst time, there may be a slight odor and a little smoke.
Therefore, at fi rst, operate the device at least 3 times without food, at the highest level
in a well-ventilated room.

5.2 Preparations

1.
Check that the crumb tray is placed.
2.
Completely unwind the power cord.
3.
Place the device on a fl at surface.
4.
Plug the plug into the power socket.

5.3 Operation
