• Batteries must not be thrown into a fire, short-circuited, taken
apart or recharged. Risk of explosion!
• Batteries contain harmful acids. Low batteries should be
changed as soon as possible to prevent damage caused by a
leak. Never use a combination of old and new batteries together,
or batteries of different types.
• Wear chemical-resistant protective gloves and safety glasses
when handling leaking batteries.

5. Operation
5.1 Set up
• Open the two battery compartments at the back and insert the four
batteries 1,5 V AAA with the polarity as indicated.
• Your scale is now ready to use.
• "0.0 kg" (default: kg) appears on the display.
• Press the kg/lb/st button at the back and select your desired
weight unit.

5.2 Setting of the weight unit
• At the back of the scale you will find the kg/lb/st button to convert
the weight unit. You can select between "kg" for Kilogram, "lb" for
British and American pound (1 pound = 453,59237 Gram) and
"st" for British Stone (1 st = 6,35 kg).
5.3 Use of the scale
• Place the scale on a flat solid surface.
• In order to switch on the scale, just stand on the platform.
• The backlight turns on.
• After a few seconds your measured weight will be displayed in kg
(default) or in the weighting unit you have set.
