5. Maintenance

Check before use

Daily control of the pallet car helps to prevent wear and tear. The wheels and axles need to
be given extra attention, as wires and pieces of fabric etc. can block the wheels. If there is
something in the wheels, this should be taken out. Repairs and maintenance work should
only be carried out by skilled persons with knowledge of mechanics. The battery is the
energy source of the pallet car, it provides sufficient power and lasts for a long time if
maintained according to the instructions.

Daily inspection

1. Make sure the battery is full (battery indicator on display), if the battery has less than
5% power, it should be charged.
2. Raise the forks to the maximum height to check that there is enough oil in the
hydraulic system.

Weekly inspection

Drivers must clean the pallet car weekly, do not use aggressive cleaning products. If
materials have wrapped around the wheels/axles, it should be carefully removed. Also
lubricate all moving/hinging parts to prevent unnecessary fatigue.

Annual inspection

The pallet truck is lifting equipment and therefore must be inspected at least once a year
by a specialized person/company. The results of this inspection shall be recorded and kept
in the maintenance legend on the second-last page of this manual.

Storage

1. The pallet truck must be stored in a horizontal position at all times.
2. The temperature at storage must not be less than 0°C and not higher than 40°C
3. Do not leave the pallet truck outside and prevent rain and snow from having the
chance to touch the machine.
4. Grease main and cylinder pump and other moving parts to prevent corrosion.
