Notes on cleanliness
Minute particles can cause component failure or
permanently damage sealing surfaces. The following
points must therefore be heeded when performing
servicing work.
R
Use must always be made of an ESD set with
electrical components.
R
The work top must be smooth and clean, ideally with
a sheet steel surface.
R
Only ever use clean containers for the storage or
transportation of parts.
R
Always use fresh, clean test oil for flushing.
R
Check the sealing surface before inserting sealing
components (sealing cone etc.). Replace the
component if the sealing surface is damaged.
Clean dirty sealing surfaces.

Replacing trigger PCB A10
!
Heed the handling instructions relating to ESD when
working on open devices. These instructions can be
found in EDIS under "Bosch Test Equipment >> Test
systems AZ >> General information >> Safety".
1. Switch off the EPS at the master switch.
2. Remove the screws (1).
3. Detach the housing cover (2).
4. Detach all connecting cables from the PCB.
5. Remove the two screws (3).
6. Detach the PCB (4) from the spacers.
7. Position the new PCB on the spacers.
i
The clamping action of the spacers deteriorates in
the event of repeated fitting of the PCB. In such
cases, use a screwdriver to splay the spacers slightly
with the PCB in position.
8. Re-install the individual components in the re-
verse order.
9. Calibrate the high-pressure rail (refer to Section 7).
