5.3.3 Checking memory module for rail detection
(one-wire chip)
The software detects the current rail configuration
by way of the memory module. The rail configuration
information (emergency shut-off pressure, maximum
pressure etc.) is loaded at the factory and cannot be
altered.
Memory module read-out:
1. Switch on the EPS at the master switch.
2. After booting of the PC, start the application
EPS945-PE/VE/CR in the Bosch applications list.
? The "Injection component test main menu"
window is called up.
? The application performs initialization.
3. In the "Injection component test main menu"
window select <F7>.
? A password request appears.
4. Enter the password in the input line:
5. Confirm the entry with <F12>.
6. Select the menu item "Calibration >> Rail pressure
sensor".
? The "Rail pressure sensor calibration" window is
called up.
7. Select <F2>.
? The memory module information is called up
(refer to illustration).

Proceed as follows if the configuration 99999 is
displayed on reading out the memory information
(refer to illustration):

Check the connecting cable to the memory module
for continuity.
R
Replace the memory module if the connecting cable
is OK.
