Start-up
1. The air texture spray gun is equipped with an R ¼" air inlet. For your own
safety you should not use a permanent connection between the air texture
spray gun and the air hose, but use the supplied quick coupling adaptor (5)
instead. Seal the end of the quick coupling with Teflon tape.
2. Properly connect the spray gun with
the
pressure
pressure vessel with the air supply
unit, as shown in the drawing. Make
sure all metal clips of the hoses are
securely tightened.
3. To stop air supply, tilt the shut-off
air valve horizontally, either to the
right or to the left.
4. Attach the desired nozzle to the
spray gun and tighten it with the
locking nut (10).
5. Set the compressor to the required pressure of approx. 3 bar.
6. Switch on the compressor and open the shut-off air valve.
7. Hold the air texture spray gun firmly by the handle (3) and press the trigger (7).
To avoid fatigue during spraying, use the trigger bail (6) to fix the trigger (7)
into place. Always make sure the material hose is not buckled; otherwise the
material cannot run freely. With the fluid regulator material flow can be
adjusted.
8. When interrupting work close the shut-off air valve. If the spray gun is not
used, after work and during maintenance, disconnect the spray gun from thee
air supply.
9. Never open the pressure vessel prior to make sure the vessel is unpressur-
ised.
Air Pressure and Air Volume
Operate the air texture spray gun with a pressure of 3 bars (15 – 30 psi).
Exceeding the max. permitted pressure level of 5 bars will significantly reduce
the lifetime of the tool. Preferably operate the air texture spray gun using a
compressor with an air suction capacity of at least 170 l/min.
