 Clean the mixing chamber lid (1) and the steam outlet (2) with warm water and
washing-up liquid (see Fig. 10).
 Allow the parts to dry thoroughly.
9.4.4. Cleaning accessories and containers
 Clean the accessories and the containers with warm water and washing-up
liquid. The accessories are dishwasher safe.
 Allow the parts to dry thoroughly.

9.5. Descaling the appliance

Descale the appliance after about 30 uses.
 Add a standard coffee machine descaler (approx. 8 grams) to the mixing
chamber (10).
 Start the cleaning programme (see section "9.2. Starting automatic cleaning
manually (Clean programme)" on page 231).

10. Prolonged non-use and transport

 If you are not going to use the appliance for an extended period of time, pull
out the mains plug, empty the water tank (4) and clean the appliance and
accessories as described and store the appliance in a dry, dust-free and frost-free
environment that is not exposed to direct sunlight.
 To avoid damaging the product during transport, we recommend that you use
the original packaging.

11. Troubleshooting

The product left our warehouse in perfect condition. If you do, however, discover a
problem, see if you can solve it by using the solutions offered in the following table.
