Problem: Burner will not light
Possible Cause 1: Control knob is not in Maximum positon (big flame).
-Turn control knob in Maximum position (big flame).
Possible Cause 2: Gas bottle valve is closed / Gas bottle empty.
-Open the valve / Replace gas bottle with a new one.
Possible Cause 3: Blockage in the orifice (injector).
-Clean or replace orifice (injector).
Possible Cause 4: Air in the gas circuit.
-Open gasline and bleed it (pressing control knob in) for not over 1 minute or until you smell gas.
Possible Cause 5: Low gas pressure.
-Replace gas cylinder with a new one.
Possible Cause 6: Igniter fails. (Do not hear a clicking sound or see a spark in the igniter housing).
-Use match to light burner.
-Change battery or obtain new igniter and replace it.
-Look under the fire table and make sure that the electrode wire is correctly inserted into the back of
the electronic ignition box. While inspecting the electrode wire, make sure that it is not cut or broken
in any place. If the wire has been damaged contact your dealer.
Problem: Burner will not stay lit
Possible Cause 1: Dirty build up around burner.
-Clean dirty around the burner.
Possible Cause 2: Low flames or not full running around the burner.
-Flame spreader holes partially closed; Clean the burner.
Possible Cause 3: Thermocouple / Electrodeis not operating correctly.
- Thermocouple: The thermocouple tip should be located
close to the burner, aligned with a burn port so that flames
contact it directly. Make sure the flames are making contact
with the thermocouple tip.
- Electrode:The electrode is where the spark is generated to
ignite your fire table. Make sure that you can see this sparking
when the igniter button is pushed.
Possible Cause 4: Damaged Thermocouple
-If the igniter housing and the thermocouple tip are clear of debris and the
flame is clearly contacting the tip of the thermocouple, but the fire table will
still not stay lit, the thermocouple may be damaged. Look beneath the table
and find the copper thermocouple wire coming out of the back of the valve.
Examine the length of it for any signs of damage. Sharp bends, kinks or
damage can cause the thermocouple to not function correctly. If you find
damage to the thermocouple contact your dealer for a replacement.
