Installation and Commissioning
Notes for mounting
Installation shall take place while observing all relevant regulations and standards applicable for the place of measurement (e.g. such as welding
instructions, etc.). It is particularly important to comply with the following:
– VDE ⁄ VDI directives "Technical temperature measurements" and "Measuring arrangements for temperature measurements"
– The EMC directives must be adhered to
– It is imperative to avoid parallel laying of current-carrying lines
– We recommend to use shielded cables with the shielding being attached at one side to the DDC ⁄ PLC
– The cable length between sensor and BMS should not exceed 100 m
– Reversing the polarity of the connections can cause damage to the unit and/or other units on the wiring harness
Before installation, make sure that the existing technical parameters of the measuring instrument comply with the actual conditions at the place of
utilisation, particularly with regard to:
– Measuring range
– Permissible maximum pressure, flow velocity
– Protection type and protection class
– Installation length, tube dimensions
– Oscillations, vibrations, shocks are to be avoided (< 0.5 g)
– Only suitable for non-precipitating, pollutant-free air without positive or negative pressure!
– Contamination must be removed with air only!
– Observe a minimum inlet distance of 5x d in upstream and an outlet distance of 3x d!
– Installation length depends on direction, observe marking!
Attention!
In all cases, please observe the mechanical and thermal load limits of protective tubes according to DIN 43763
respectively according to specific S+S standards!

Note for mounting:
Sensor works unidirectionally.
Observe the markings for the direction of flow!
