2.4 DMX wiring

Useashieldedtwisted-paircableto connecttheseriallink.Forshortdistances a
microphone cable maybeused.
Use 3-pinXLRconnectors.
Pin assignment
Pin 1 = shield
Pin 2 = data - = blue
Pin 3 = data + = red
Thepin assignment isthe sameforallVaryscans in line.
Iftheoutputsocketofthecontroldesks offers a 5 pinXLRfemale socket,
pin 4 and5arenotoccupied.
Connect the DMX-out ofthecontroldesktothefirstVaryscaninline.
(lighting control deskDMX-Out / VaryscanDMX-In).Connectthesecond
Varyscan to thefirstinline,andsoon(Varyscan2DMX-In/Varyscan1
DMX-Out). The DMX-Out of thelastunitinlineisnotoccupiedunless
problemsoccure. Then useaterminationplug with thelastVaryscan inline.
(XLR-connectorwitha 120Ohmresistor soldered between pin 2 andpin 3).
Problemsmight occurewhen theline is overloaded, e.g.

2.5 Poweringthefixture

Install a pluglike described i n 2.1.
Connected load: Voltage 230Volts, frequence50Hz,power740VA(3,2A)
Useapowersupplyofatleast920VA(4A)perunit,asthefixtureneedmore
power during the processofpoweringup.
Connect the fixture to a propperinstalledgroundedsystem only. If anydoubts
ontheelectricalinstallationsoccur,consult a qualifiedelectrician.
In caseofdamagesoccuringduetoanotpropperinstalledelectricalsystem,
warranty claims will beinvalidated.
Don´t use fixtures when top cover is notfixed propperly. Contactwithelectronical
parts can result i n risk for life.
Connect fixtureonly after assuring thattheelectricalinstallationfits yourdemands
