Armrests
The armrests can be lifted upwards, which eases getting in and out of the chair.
To tilt the armrest backwards, one should press the lever (1) and pull the armrest up (2).
To reattach the armrest, simply push it back down until the safety-lock will block itself
automatically.
WARNING! It is prohibited to use the armrests as wheelchair carrying handles.
Handle Brakes (optional)
The attendant brake levers are optional and may only be installed by the
manufacturer or qualified service personnel. They assist the attendant in
maneuvering the wheelchair user while driving.
The set consists of two brake levers (1) which control the wheelchair brakes and
two steel cables (2) which connect the levers to the brakes. Brake levers are
mounted under the push handles of the wheelchair.
To slow down the wheelchair, pull both brake levers (1) up evenly to control the
braking force.
For full braking, pull the levers all the way up. To disengage the brakes, simply release the brake levers.
You can use the brakes to maneuver the wheelchair by braking the wheel on the side you want to turn to.
NOTE: The brake levers at the push handles may only be operated by persons assisting the user, standing behind
the wheelchair. These levers are not intended to be operated by persons sitting in the wheelchair.
NOTE: The brake levers on the push handles are for maneuvering purposes and are not to be used as parking
brakes.
NOTE: Never leave the wheelchair unattended without applying the parking brakes.
NOTE: Always apply the parking brakes when the wheelchair is not in use.
24" rear wheels
The wheelchair is equipped with 24" main wheels with pneumatic or puncture-
resistant polyurethane tyres.
The wheelchair is delivered with the standard push rims. The material and the
distance between the push rim and the wheel can influence on the grip strength
of the wheelchair's user.
One should be careful and not allow the fingers to get between spokes during
driving in narrow passages. To avoid such risk it is recommended to use a spoke
protection.
One should regularly control the pressure in tyres, which ought to be in range of
2 – 2,2 atm depending on the weight of the user.
Optional
The wheels on "New Classic" chair can additionally be easily removed and fitted
in by pressing the quick-release button placed in the center of the wheel (1).
8" front wheels
The wheelchair is equipped with PU wheels 200x50 mm. We recommend to stay with this type of tyres, but it is also
possible to use pneumatic tyres. It is possible to mount different sizes of front wheels. This might be necessary after
adjusting the rear axles.

Parking brakes

The wheelchair is equipped with parking brakes on
both rear wheels to prevent rolling away.
To apply the brake push the lever forward (1). To release the brake pull the
lever towards the wheel (2).
Always apply the parking brakes on both sides of the wheelchair.
WARNING! The parking brakes are not designed as driving brakes and only
serve to lock the wheelchair in parking position. They can't be used for
braking while driving!
